Hello, Following the upstream release cycle:
Today November 30, 2020 Scientific Linux 6 reached on End of Life. After this date no additional updates will be published for Scientific Linux 6. Specifically, no security updates for SL6 will be published after November 30, 2020. After November 30 2020: - The installation trees will be moved into the 'obsolete' directory. - Kickstart and yum operations against the old repository locations will no longer work. - the official docker images for SL6 (docker pull sl:6) will be retired -- A copy of the final docker image will be placed in the 'obsolete' directory under 6x/x86_64/os/images/docker. The files themselves will remain available under the 'obsolete' directory.[1] Users of Scientific Linux 6 should evaluate options for migrating to an actively maintained operating system. Scientific Linux 7 remains actively maintained.[2] CentOS 8 is available for folks as well.[3] [1] http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/obsolete/ [2] http://ftp.scientificlinux.org/linux/scientific/7x/ [3] https://www.centos.org/download/
