Hi Everyone,
Ever since I installed the newest SL 6 kernel
(2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.x86_64) on some of my NFS4 client desktops (Which
connect to NFS4 servers) last week, I have a problem with launching
applications, such as Gnote and Pidgin. When I have tried to launch
either of these applications, the client's /var/log/messages file
becomes flooded with:
Feb 11 16:04:55 hostname kernel: nfs4_reclaim_open_state: Lock
reclaim failed!
The flooding of the messages file stops when I terminate the process
of the application. I have not had this problem on any other kernel
version aside from this newest one.
Does anyone else use NFS4 servers and have seen the same problem on
SL6 clients running the 2.6.32-279.22.1.el6.x86_64 kernel?

I haven't seen this bug, but I know there are a few nfs4 fixes in 6.4
(currently building). I'd encourage you to keep an eye out for an Alpha
announcement on the devel list. If you are able to use them on this
sytem, packages there may fix this.
