greetings. on a new install from sl6.3 live dvd and updated, k3b will not format or write to a dvd.
when a blank dvd-r or blank dvd-rw is loaded, right clicking on drive name at top of left column and selecting 'Media info', 'No media present' is shown. when a written dvd-r or written dvd-rw is loaded, right clicking on drive name at top of left column and selecting 'Media info', media info is shown. when dvd-r or dvd-rw are loaded and attempt to burn a dvd-r or dvd-rw is made, 'Burn Medium' consistently asks for media to be inserted. any help, suggestions, comments are appreciated. tia. -- peace out. tc.hago, g . in a free world without fences, who needs gates.
