I got one of those e-mails yesterday too. I hadn't looked that closely at the headers, but you're right, it does seem that the Fermilab Listserv has been moved to Microsoft servers (outlook.com & office365.com in the Received headers). Other people who've reported this removal on this list all seem to indicate that the first error was reported on 2018-09-04, which is what I had in my e-mail too. Maybe that's when they moved the Listserv to Office 365?

A couple other weird things I noticed:

1. Despite the notice that I was removed from the list, I'm still getting these e-mails from the list.

2. Unlike the last reported error in Fred's e-mail, which was a 500-range error and therefore a permanent error (mail rejection), the one in my e-mail was:

- The last reported error was: 5.4.300 550 5.4.300 Message expired -> 451 4.7.1
Greylisting in action, please come back later

The 400-range error codes are temporary failures, and aren't supposed to be treated as a permanent rejection of the e-mail: the sending server is supposed to retry later. So why is the listserv counting this as a delivery error? Both of these cause me to question whether there's some sort of misconfiguration behind all this.

I got something similar.
I was about to mark it as spam, and now that I see that someone else got the same thing, I'm definitely marking it as spam. I certainly hope that Fermilab's list-serve hasn't been switched to something called "onmicrosoft.com <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__onmicrosoft.com&d=DwMFaQ&c=gRgGjJ3BkIsb5y6s49QqsA&r=gd8BzeSQcySVxr0gDWSEbN-P-pgDXkdyCtaMqdCgPPdW1cyL5RIpaIYrCn8C5x2A&m=8UYvB9kyCvxPbVAVbxBPLuxAMhRBS63SUktuf6IfYL4&s=zK5XCFUiPiJ2vKpF9W4fGEOsmd9rdrs6IPnzTDgPlUo&e=>"
And ... then I just looked ... and indeed it has.  Youch.
