You might want to also try adding pci=routeirq to grub.conf to see if
that fixes it.

Now you have networking it might be worth upgrading the kernel in case
there is some change/fix in 2.6.18-8.1.6.el5 which helps...
I assume you were going to do that anyway... :-)
