Java plugin's don't work for 64 bit firefox, so you have to install the 32 bit
firefox.
Remove all your firefox's
yum remove firefox
double check
rpm -qa | grep firefox
Install 32 bit version of firefox
yum install firefox.i386

Doesn't want to work for me. I've 64-bit Firefox, with 32-bit Sun JDK,
and a symbolic link thus:
ls -l /usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.12/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 62 Nov 27 10:38
/usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.12/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so ->
/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_11/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
And when I visit the Sun Java WS Demos page:
http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/demos.html
I find that the access time changes for the link, but not for the actual
plugin in the Java tree.
The access time for that seems to be set to the startup time for firefox.
Any suggestions please ..
