I'm currently runing a HPC cluster running Scientific Linux, and OSCAR. 
http://oscar.openclustergroup.org

OSCAR takes care of most of the details of installing and configuring a 
HPC cluster..

BTW, a Scientific Linux/OSCAR cluster won the Cluster Challenge at 
SuperComputing 2007! :)
