Hi Wenji,

Is there a reason you don't want to use a prebuilt binary? If not, try:

yum install vsftpd

It's in the sl-base repository and installed fine for me.

Installed: vsftpd.i386 0:2.0.5-10.el5

Thanks,

The binary does not work for my case. I am working on a research project, and
need to modify the vsftp code.

Then why not just grab the src.rpm from an SL mirror, install that and modify the source code from there?

At least you know 100% that src.rpm file will compile with your SL version.

Michael.
