hi,
since the last kernel update (2.6.18-53.1.13.el5), we have a big problem
with the yum update. We get the message:
Error: Missing Dependency: pam_krb5 >= 2.2.11-5.slf5 is needed by package
openssh-server
slf5 - this looks like a Fermi SL5 RPM (SLP5)
The SL5 openssh-server rpm does not require pam_krb5:
but there is one in contrib/openssh now that does. So the solution is
probably to disable the contrib repo, or add an exclude=openssh* line to
/etc/yum.repos.d/sl-contrib.repo . It's not kernel related.

# rpm -q --requires openssh-server | grep pam
/etc/pam.d/system-auth
/lib/security/pam_loginuid.so
libpam.so.0
libpam.so.0(LIBPAM_1.0)
I have (pure SL51):
# rpm -q pam_krb5
pam_krb5-2.2.14-1.i386
# rpm -q openssh-server
openssh-server-4.3p2-24.el5.i386
What do you have on your system? Is this a SLP5 or SL5 system?
Urs
but the only available package is pam_krb5-2.2.11-1.i386
On some machine, this leads to the impossibilty to upgrade ntf3-3g, which
is rather annoying.
Has anybody an idea of when this bug has a chance to be fixed ?
best regards,
