When you install SL5.2, in /etc/yum.repos.d I expect you to find, as for SL5.1, the following set of files which I interpret as referring to "recommended (and compatible) repos":

atrpms.repo, flash.repo, sl-contrib.repo, sl-fastbugs.repo, sl-security.repo, sl-testing.repo, dag.repo, sl-bugfix-52.repo, sl-debuginfo.repo, sl.repo, sl-srpms.repo

The repos are enabled by having "enabled=1" instead of "enabled=0" lines in their corresponding files. Only the sl and sl-security ones are enabled by default.

Hello all,

I used SL Linux a few years ago and now I'm back, hopefully for a
longer time than before. I've searched the list for the following
question but didn't find a clear answer, so here it goes and please
apologize if the question was answered before: what are the (most)
recommended (and compatible) repos to use with SL 5.2 distribution?
(not considering the official ones, for updates and security patches,
provided by SL team). I've seen that livna only supports Fedora and
I'm not very familliar with rpm-based repos. Others I found where DAG
and ATrpms. I don't know if I remember correct, but I think that last
time I've enabled a non-oficial repository, compatible with RHEL, and
succesfully used it with SL.

Thank you,
