Hello,
This is just an advance warning that the jdk updates that have been in testing will be going out tomorrow, 30 July 2008

Why do you need an advanced warning?
Two reasons.
1 - The jdk rpm's from sun are not signed. I could give you the whole shakedown on the attempts at signing these so that other things don't break, but to keep things short, they aren't signed. So if you have GPG checking turned on, these are going to fail. 2 - Some people have multiple versions of jdk installed. This will either cause this update to fail, or if this update is the newest, it may install itself and remove all the rest. This may or may not be what you want.

If there is a reason that you want to update these by hand, the rpm's are currently at these locations.

If you want to update them via yum right now you can do the follwoing

     yum --enablerepo=sl-testing update java\*

Thanks for all those who have tested these.
