Connie, Yes there is space in this directory and permissions have been triple checked.
Sorry for the delay -- I spoke with the vendor of Gaussian and they mentioned that there was a security patch in the kernel version I'm running which has caused problems with g03 Gaussian, and we should recompile g03-E.01. So our next step is to recompile that version.
