I think OS of the Beast is already taken.
Kinda like Ozzy's take about the Lich King :)
<Insert Bill Gates voice>
We've been the OS of the Beast since 1981!

Why not a benzene ring?
With 6 carbon atoms each with 6 protons and 6 neutrons.
Not to scale of course.
Then it could be 666, the OS of the Beast.

Hello,
I would like to propose a contest for a new Scientific Linux logo for
use with Scientific Linux 6 on up.
It's not that I don't like the current logo. I think it's great, and
we're all very grateful for William Somsky for creating it. But it
was designed for Scientific Linux 4. It has 4 electron's, proton's
and neutron's. And it would be nice to get a new one for Scientific
Linux 6, with 6 electrons, proton's and neutron's.
If everyone is ok with this, the contests would have the following
rules.
The logo must be licensed GPL v2 or applicable Creative Common's
license.
The logo must be in SVG format. (This should allow it to scale better)
It should be a carbon, bohr style atom. Bohr atoms have the
electrons circle around the nucleus, which contains protons and
neutrons.
There should be 6 electron's, 6 neutrons, and 6 protons. Not all
neutrons and protons must be seen.
The color scheme should be somewhat the same as previous logo's.
In the end, someone should be able to look at the logo and say that
although it is newer and has more electron orbits, it clearly is the
logo for Scientific Linux.
Does this sound like a good idea? a bad idea?
Any variations or changes to what I'm thinking?
