Does Sun's virtual box being supported in the 'Nimbus' cloud service set-up or
vice versa? I mean if Nimbus can run on Virtual box, then I definitely go for
it, as my ultimate goal is to have 'Nimbus-based cloud' service along with
Globus.

Any ideas?

I can not comment on Xen.  I gave up on setting it up.  I have used
sun's virtualbox in a few cases.  It is simple and works beautifully.
VmWare server is a little klunkier and heavier weight but also works okay.
