Live-cd Install -

I just downloaded Centos 5.3 Live-cd and find that I can't install it to 
the hard drive. I am accustomed to installing Fedora [10 this computer] 
from the Live-cd and adding to that as needed via yum.

Will Scientific Linux 5.3 Live-cd install like the Fedora live-cd and 
will it update via yum?
