I do not have any specific experiences with new hardware, that is tested with SL 5, but I would recommend, that you could give any RHEL 5- compatible computer a try.
For example those HP-Workstations are mentioned as RHEL 5 compatible:

HP Z800 Workstation (KK564ET) <http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/de/de/sm/WF06b/12454-12454-296719-4050865-4050865-3718645-4017279.html> HP Z800 Workstation (KK600ET) <http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/de/de/sm/WF06b/12454-12454-296719-4050865-4050865-3718645-4091978.html>

HP Z200 Workstation (KK622ET) <http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/de/de/sm/WF06b/12454-12454-296719-4050763-4050763-4100568-4157262.html> HP Z200 Workstation (KK620ET) <http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/de/de/sm/WF06b/12454-12454-296719-4050763-4050763-4100568-4157261.html> HP Z200 Workstation (KK623ET) <http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/de/de/sm/WF06b/12454-12454-296719-4050763-4050763-4100568-4157264.html>

Those are RHEL 4 compatible:

Hello all,

I've been tasked with purchasing a computer with 2 processors at least (not just multicore) has anyone experience with hardware that works flawlessly with SL 5? I'm leaning towards Intel processors - would I only be looking for Xeon or are there core i7 dual processor motherboards out there too? This will be a desktop/research machine - so servers are not exactly what I'm looking for.

Of course I'm also searching around already but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions from which I could start.

Thank you!
