Dear Troy,
Thank you for the information. I was able to update the kernel via
yum update
and pointing to sl5 rolling areas and my problem with the nfsv4 client
has gone away.
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Doug Benjamin

Hello,
When is SL 5.5 expected to be ready for release? I ask because I
am seeing
a problem with java (when running off of a auto mounted nfsv4 disk)
that appears to be explained in this RedHat bug report -

and fixed in RH 5.5

Does anyone have any information on RHEL 6 release date?
Thanks,

Hi,
SL 5.5 is progressing pretty well, we should have Release Candidate 1
out this week. After that it should be a couple weeks. But I'd like
to get RC 1 out before giving anything more firm than that.
But if you want to test, you can install from SL 5rolling. It's
currently at Beta 2. For testing NFS 4 I think everything is pretty
much in place, so Beta 2 should be ok.
My guess for the release date of RHEL6 is October or November. But
others might have their ideas.
Thanks
Troy
