Please look at this centos bug report I filed: http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=4335 You will find that I have the identical Nvidia controller (note 11330). It was giving me not only a sound problem but also system instability problems with the -194 kernel. A simple workaround is to add a line: options snd-hda-intel index=0 enable_msi=0 in /etc/modprobe.conf . Could you test to see if this rectify the problem for you? Akemi
