Hi,
Urs, thank you very much! My problem is gone now. I have chosen the
wrong system version for my system, that is, choose a "Redhat Enterprise
Linux" version instead of choosing the right "Redhat Enterprise Linux 5" for
SL 5.3. Anyway, I have installed Sl 5.3 on VMware successfully. Thanks
again.
     Cheers,
                                                                  Shuping

Hi,

I have several SL installations on VMware. When creating a new machine, have
you chosen "Linux operating System" and
"Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 (32-bit)" for SL 5.3 32-bit?

Cheers,

       Urs
