Dear All SL 6 Users:
Where is the Yum Extender in SL 6?

I used to run Yum Extender a lot in SL 5.5 to view the extra Linux
packages' content before I installed them.

Look for "Add/Remove Software" in the menu's.
It's not Yum Extender, but it does a good job.

In Gnome it's under
  System -> Administration -> Add/Remove Software

In KDE it's under
  Menu -> Applications -> Administration -> Add/Remove Software

The application that is run is called "gpk-application"

Yes, I found that the SL 6 software updater has the same function as Yum extender. Just select the package you are curious about and then select "Get File List" from the Selection Menu. It will show all the package content!! ! Nice!! :-D
