strictly from memory, i think it came with centos but it was by default disabled. there's a thread on that repo file here: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2007-April/037260.html as you can see, its sole purpose was to allow you to treat the installation DVD as a repository for quick package installs. i was just about to whip up the equivalent for SL6 and test it, i don't see why it shouldn't work. rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
