You can also try UNetbootin <http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/>. They have versions for Windows, Linux, and Mac.
I've installed SL6 and Linux Mint Debian from a WinXP partition using this. Also SL6 from a Linux Mint partition. (Sorry, no Macs in my stable of boxes.) Will also configure a USB device. A great way to avoid making coasters. -- Jon Ruth Kent, Ohio
