I note that in your previous messages that you were
having problems due to MX records misdirecting your
unsubscription e-mail.

Try using [email protected] as an alternate
address.

In a pinch, try "'listserv@[131.225.105.28]'" or
"'listserv@[131.225.111.29]'" (without the double
quotes. Actually, I suggest using the second one.

All incoming mail at Fermilab now goes through a
central mail server for scanning and logging.

That is the basis of the first suggestion. The
second suggestion is a way of bypassing DNS issues
by avoiding DNS lookups. The first IP address is
for smtp.fnal.gov and the second is for listserv.fnal.gov

Hopefully until the minute I die, I will continue to learn new things.

this is what i received when i first joined Scientific Linux email lists.

note second paragraph.
How does that help me understand the apparent contradiction in the
list's emails added headers and the 5.1.1 SMTP rejection message ?

Is the text in the headers correct, half-correct, a little correct or
wrong ?

Best regards,
