tried normal "redhat way update", without any success:

yum upgrade
Setting up Upgrade Process
No Packages marked for Update

sorry for noise to the list..

Hi Eero,

I believe that using --releasever=N doesn't make a permanenent change.

updated yesterday with --releasever=6.2, /etc/redhat-release has been upgraded too:

# cat /etc/redhat-release
Scientific Linux release 6.2 (Carbon)

# grep release /var/log/yum.log
Apr 03 13:19:10 Updated: sl-release-6.2-1.1.x86_64
Apr 03 13:19:41 Updated: sl-release-notes-6.2-3.noarch
