Thanks for your replies. I know that there are entrenched views on termi nal colours, but I doubt that there are many fans of yellow text on a white background, which is how link urls come up with the default settings for terminals and lynx in SL6. Furthermore, I don't think that this arrangem ent is intentional on the part of the lynx packagers because the link text ha d a contrasting background in SL5 and I can't see any mention of it in a changelog. Everyone ought to be free to use the colour scheme of their choice, but I see no point in having the distribution's default arrangeme nt be unreadable (and I'll bet the packagers don't either).
Connie, Pat, am I correct in guessing that the "el6" in the lynx package name lynx-2.8.6-27.el6.x86_64 means that the packagers are at TUV and that the best way to reach them is through their bugzilla?
