This seems like the long way... The method I've used is VERY simple:
# dd if=/path/to/iso of=/dev/usbstick

Then boot from the USB stick. I've done this for a netinstall of Fedora, SL, etc etc for a long, long time.


I've found 'livecd-iso-to-disk' from the livecd-tools package found within sl-addons[1] (previously in SL itself) to be an excellent utility.
