I used LVM once, until on a bright day the machine stopped working because the LVM volume decided that it is "disabled" (Aparently each LVM volume has a "disable" bit and some secret magic command to flip it). mdadm software raid does not have any such disable bits so out with LVM, back to mdadm software raid. -- Konstantin Olchanski Data Acquisition Systems: The Bytes Must Flow!
