Hi,
I'm using scientific Linux for quite a long time now (since 5.1), and I still
cannot follow the update policy of the repository maintainers.
I understand it takes some time to update packages, but I cannot understand
some of the time-frames.
For instance a quite valuable package as OpenLDAP. Considering the release
dates of the packages, why is SL6x-repo still delivering 2.4.23 ?? Which
contains a documented bug ...(it is advised to install release 2.4.31 and I
don't like to "overrule"the standard repo!)

So could anyone explain the reason why it takes sometimes more than years to
find a package updated. I'm just being curious...
