Sin City has a look that's like the graphic novel. Think "Sky Captain" with an adult plot and more impressive coloring. The first few minutes take a bit to get adjusted as you try to decide if it's gimmicky and hokey or brilliant, but in ten minutes or so "brilliant" wins out.

Keith: Do rent the "Signs" DVD. I beleive that you'll be glad you did. Then you can compare it to WOTW and wish that you hadn't bought the WOTW DVD. I am glad that I bought the "Signs" DVD. There is so much subtlety in it that it is easy to miss stuff (e.g., the roof scene). I haven't seen "Sin City" yet. It looked to cartoony for my tastes. I do agree with you... the George Pal version of WOTW was really goo; and the better of the 2.
