This is why I think now’s a good time for Dwayne to take over writing the next picture. The Reed in the movies is EXACTLY the Reed that would have written Plan #101 - “Fix Everything” -- and not told anyone about it. Reed is totally a wimp. He’s the richest geek in the world. He doesn’t even FIGHT unless he’s done the math first. This is why he continually gets his behind handed to him in physical altercations. Iaon’s Reed Richards is totally the guy who would side with Tony on the registration act. McDuffie’s Reed is the most human and flawed in a long time. The mistakes he’s making are huge, but based on his wanting to do the right thing. And McDuffie’s Doom balances him out perfectly -- even the “Doom of the future”.
