Hmm, good point. I like Apatow's stuff too. And some of Will Ferrell's too, for
that matter. As for whether it's from the Adam Sandler school, gods I hope not!
I am not a fan of Sandler's humour. Tried to watch Steve Martin's Pink Panther.
Lasted about five minutes.

I was discussing this with my son(for some reason he likes to call me
from the college I am paying for at 5:45 in the morning) and we decided
to withhold judgement until we see it...which won't be until we get it
on bootleg DVD. I had the same visceral reaction when Judd Apatow
began his wildly successful run of arrested development comedies
with "The 40 year-old virgin." But, I finally saw it and its
successors "Knocked-Up" and "Super Bad." The movies were gross,
immature and...I laughed my ass off. My daughter and I just
saw "Pineapple Express" this weekend and while I am sure, like
the "Harold and Kumar" movies would be WAY funnier if viewed while
high, it was rib tickling if not up to the standard of "Bad"
or "Virgin."

My son and I agree that the only question regarding "Mall Cop" is
whether it is another "Virgin" or a successful misfire like Steve
Martin's "Pink Panther" remake.

Or, since "Mall Cop" is from the Adam Sandler factory that also
produces factory seconds like "Deuce Bigelo: Male Gigolo," the question
should probably be is "Mall Cop" a "Big Daddy" or another "Hot Chick."
