Serena and Kanye's cases are similar in that a Black person expressed emotion and a person reacted like someone was going to eat them. Not only was Serena's foot foul a wrong call, what she said was nothing compared to what others, namely one celebrated John McEnroe, has said over the course of a career.

Additionally, critics of both have said they should have "stayed quiet" and "known their place". This is a very dangerous trend that I will never be with. There is a time and place for everything, but entertainment, even sports entertainment, is a place for emotion and expression.

Anyone want to weigh in with thoughts on what the younger Williams daughter did Saturday at the US Open?
