I agree that its very slow. I think that has a lot to do with the Canadian influences on the show. Canadian tv is a lot slower.(A good example of this is "Davinci's inquest" which is the unofficial Canadian CSI.) I think that we have gotten used to fast pacing of American movies and tv that started in the 1980s.
