After hours of ESPN pontification, I decided to scroll the dial, and came across an odd-looking movie on IFC. It's called "Renaissance". It takes place in 2054 in Paris, and deals with a cop trying to uncover who kidnapped a female scientist. The movie is rotoscoped, in black-and-white, and has a very funky look, kind of like elements of "Sin City", "The Waking Life", and an old Felix the Cat (black and white) cartoon combined with a BladeRunner sensibility. Not sure if I like it yet, but it's very interesting. Daniel Craig is one of the actors. Took six years to make, but only cost bout fifteen million bucks. Looks cool with the sound off.
