Agreed, but like I said way back when this show first debuted--on both NBC and then, on TNT--I don't like the dearth of good brothers on the show. I've seen a couple of cops and detectives who are black men, in guest spots that can be measured in a few short minutes. But there's no black men who have any central roles, other than the many many criminals, young and old, who are black. I believe in one show King's character commented on the specific area in which most of the cops live being upper middle class and white. So I guess that explains the mostly white police force, but then, why are all the criminals (typically) black and Latino? Maybe it's true to that part of LA, but dang i get sick of this. It's the one thing that sours my enjoyment of a show I otherwise love.

She is a tough, no-nonsense sister with real hair and is the nominal "black woman who knows how" of her precinct. My fav episode is when she protected a young witness to a gangland slaying from a crew of bangers trying to bum rush her house. King calmly opens her safe. Removes her shotgun. And takes care of business. They didn't stand a chance! ~rave! --- In scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com , Martin Baxter <martinbaxt...@...> wrote: > > Preachify, Sister! Then call me.
