Wow, great choices. I love Zelazny's work. Even his most pedestrian prose flows like poetry. Loved his Amber novels, and the book "Lord of Light" is one of my all time fav scifi novels. Matheson's history is huge: how many Twilight Zone, Outer Limit, Trek, and other scifi shows owe some of their ideas to his works? Butler's a pioneer of course, still being probably the most critically acclaimed female scifi writer of color--and respected in her own right outside of that.
