Wow, that's an interesting question. Being black my mind keeps veering towards black history. But I've always had a fascination with Native American tribes. So I'll jump in on this thread. If I were to do an alternate history, I'd do a story that would somehow make the Native American tribes and the African tribes conquer the white tribes. If I recall my history well, many an escaped slave were taken in by Native Americans and they were the ones who warned the Indians that the white man could not be trusted with a treaty. Furthermore while many Native Americans owned slaves from warfare and learned to own African slaves (in the economic white way) there were many Natives who did not return escaped slaves. If the Native Americans had not been warring against each other (in that white divide and conquer way) they might have joined together with Africans and changed history.
