Hi Tracey:

Nah. Am not angry or offended at all. When I'm angry I either say
nothing at all, abandoning the thread, or I say something snide and
snippy. I don't posts stuff about not posting.

My "ah well" had less to do with the content of the thread than with
the problem of communicating by keyboard or by written texts. It was
an "ah well" of tiredness directed more at my own problems than at
you.

I review books, post to online lists, get into heavy written
discussions with Christians, atheists, SF-haters, SF-lovers. The
upshot of all this is that I find myself seeing a certain safety in
fiction, and in simply not commenting about any subject in
particular. One can, for instance, write a novel against racism and
even if readers of said novel challenge one, one cannot get into too
heated an argument if one simply says, "the book speaks for itself."

So that was where my mind and my "ah well" was...generally.
Specifically, it was said because I had used the word "archives" when
I meant "public posts." That brought in your comment about "public
archives" which made me realize I had used the wrong word. As
someone who has to have friends, such as Amy H, and others check my
writing because of my heteronym/homophone and word-switching problems
I was a bit angry with myself when once again I wrote a post which
mistated my original message.

Beleave me hive dun this kindle thing befour.
