Hi all: I'm not exactly going back on my generally peevishness about magical noble heroes popping up in movies and books but am wondering now if perhaps liberal Hollywood in its do-gooding way doesn't perhaps know something we don't want to recognize. After Katrina and the Gretna situation and the arresting of little old ladies for looting because they're holding sausages and all the various stuff that has happened in the past three weeks, perhaps we should not be so --perhaps I should not be-- impatient with our liberal white brothers.
Perhaps they know FULL WELL that the only way to counteract the prejudices of places like Gretna (which is everywhere in the US) that we DO NEED these magical negroes.
