Theano is still aiming for 2.4 support because some of our lab's industrial collaborators are still running ancient Red Hat, but the more other packages in the ecosystem go 2.6+, the better, and the less of a case old holdouts will have (which, until next week, includes us -- Fedora Core 9/Py 2.5.1, uggggh). So, while I've contributed I think one measly data loader, count me +1.
