It is merged :).

Speed of HMMs can probably be further improved though. Even more
important: clearity of the code and adhesion to the scikit's guideline
can absolutely be improved (see
http://scikit-learn.org/dev/developers/index.html#coding-guidelines)

Before you attempt any work on this, please discuss it on the mailing
list: several people are looking at the HMM module currently, and we
should not duplicate efforts.
