I don't understand how it works on your side. I tried: Uninstalling ALL python modules and python, and reinstalling only python, numpy, scipy and Scikit-learn Uninstalling ALL python modules and python, and installing Enthought Python, and I still get the same error. This happens, running Python in DOS. I even tried typing it out line by line in IPython, and I still get a list of lists, instead of just a list with the coefficents: from sklearn import linear_model clf = linear_model.LinearRegression() clf.fit([[0,0,0],[1,1,1]],[0,1]) Out[3]: LinearRegression(copy_X=True, fit_intercept=True, normalize=False) print clf.coef_ [[ 0.33333333 0.33333333 0.33333333]] It should print: [ 0.33333333 0.33333333 0.33333333] instead of the double brackets.
