My gut feeling would be to branch and then cherry-pick individual commits in a fairly manual way. It might a bit tedious from a version-control/merging point of view. I suggest that I do this tomorrow (I can do it, to remove load from you). Then, on Sunday, we can work on the release itself (building binaries, uploading the webpage...). How does that sound?
