There used to be a few interesting github PRs, unfortunately closed or
stalled.
Adaboost:

Bagging:

Functional gradient boosting:
https://github.com/scikit-learn/scikit-learn/pull/492
I think the Adaboost and Bagging PRs would be the simplest
to resurrect (maybe from a new clean branch for Adaboost).
Bagging would get my vote for tackling it first (Adaboost may require some
project-wide cleanups with respect to the sample_weight fit option).
