Hi people, Ideally, I would also need a volunteer to coordinnate the GSoC for the project. I have started doing it, but that's a very bad idea, because I am completely overcommitted.
In practive the job involves: - Looping with the PSF guy in charge Terry Oda, - Looping with the students to answer their questions, and make sure that they have a somewhat decent proposal. That doesn't mean doing their homework! - Possibly interviewing the students, keeping track of their pull requests in the project... to guide the final decision of who gets accepted. - Orchestrate the final decision: you will probably have the best overall view of the students, and you can organize a constructive discussion with the mentors. All this is before the start of the GSOC. During the GSOC: - Be on mentors and students back so that they submit in time their repors and evaluation. As you can see, most of the work is before the GSOC. I'd be so much grateful if someone could step up to do that. Last year it was Vlad who did it, and he did a fantastic job. But this year he is too busy with his masters to do this.
