IIRC, weekly post are not a GSoC requirement but they are a _PSF_ requirement, and since scikit-learn is participating to GSoC under the PSF umbrella, the requirement applies to us. I think it's great incentive to think of your work in terms of what you could show to others. No matter how little there is to show, if you try to give it that twist, you might appreciate things in a new light.
