Hi scikit-learn community, The Google Summer of Code 2015 is upon us once again. As always, the success of the projects depends not only on the students, but also on having a great team of mentors to guide and support them.
Thus, I'd like to make a call for mentors and project suggestions. If you have time and expertise, please do volunteer to be a mentor. You will help us build our future! Mentoring is very important both from a technical point of view and from a project management point of view (eg finding a good breakdown of tasks). We try to have 2 mentors by student. Volonteer to be mentors should contact privately Andy Mueller, Olivier Grisel, and myself (please, use a very explicit email title: I get too much email, and loose information). Also, in parallel, we should start a list of proposed project on the following page: https://github.com/scikit-learn/scikit-learn/wiki/A-list-of-topics-for-the-GSOC-2015 Ideally, projects should be discussed on the mailing list before being added to the wiki page, to avoid having a pollution of too many half-written projects. Thank you to everyone of this wonderful community, Gaƫl ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming.
