I'll have a careful look at the code for the tree module and would try to start implementing some part of the functionality desired. I'll get back to you if I get stuck and post the link of my proposal once I am done with the first draft of it. However, I don't see scikit-learn being mentioned as on the ideas page for Python Software Foundation - https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/organizations/5164886469378048/. Is there an error?
