Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: SciTE Group: Cosmetic Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Incremental search box does not show how to close it Initial Comment: System: win98se Scite version: 1.61 and 1.63 When you activate Incremental Search (Search > Incremental Search, Ctrl+Alt+I) it works wonderfully, until you try to close it. There appears to be no visual clue to show how to close it. I finally discovered you had to press [ESC] to close the search box, but only in the midst of writing this and after 20 minutes of trying alternatives (enter, ctrl+alt+i again, ctrl-c, ctrl-x, ctrl-enter, tab-tab-enter [in case there was a close button and it was not showing], among others). A [close] box, or simple 'ESC to close' text string would be a good addition for the clueless & panic-stricken (luckily I'd already saved my files, so killing the process wasn't so bad as it could have been).
