Its funny that it turned out like that in your reply: I sent UTF-8which
could cope with all the >characters but your reply was in GB2312and it
looks like it (or maybe your mailer) can't handle >Icelandic orCyrillic.
^_^, I noticed this and I guess it should be caused by the hotmail
lanuage(GB2312) setting.

It is for 8 bit character sets as one byte == one character in allof
them. It wouldn't be OK for >mixing a DBCS character set withanother
character set although it can work OK if you mix DBCS >withASCII and set
the code page to the DBCS.

The 8 bit character sets don't normally bother setting the codepage as
